EDUCATION IN MANHASSET
A nationally accredited and acclaimed school district, Manhasset has two elementary schools (K-6), a middle school (7-8) and one high school (9-12). In addition to academic studies, the schools feature comprehensive athletic programs, a unique independent research course, networked computer labs, English as a second language and a number of enrichment and remedial programs. State-of-the-art technology that supports multi-media, networked and on-line capabilities guides interdisciplinary student research and investigations. There are also several choices of private schools with-in a 15-mile radius of Manhasset and is supported by the District’s transportation office.
The Manhasset Union Free School District has about 3,300 students and comprises two elementary schools, Munsey Park and Shelter Rock, for kindergarten through sixth grade, and the Manhasset Secondary School campus, with a middle school and high school.
