Beautification is a key aspect of community development and the Chamber strongly believes a pleasant community appearance adds to home values, helps attract business investments and improves the neighborhood reputation. Our goal is to make Plandome Road more attractive to its residents and visitors and create a culture that understands the importance of aesthetics. Your support will help us achieve this goal.

The Chamber wishes to especially thank the Town of North Hempstead for agreeing to water the plants again this year; without that generous commitment, it would not be possible to have
beautiful living plants on top of the poles and keep them thriving
throughout the summer and winter.
​
Beautification projects that the Manhasset Chamber have led the past year include Bench installations on Plandome Road and the Sewer Project.

THE MANHASSET CHAMBER DECORATES PLANDOME ROAD THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.
Starting with flowers in the spring and continuing with flowering baskets and planters under the Adopt-A-Pole/Planter campaign for the summer. In autumn, cornstalks adorn Plandome Road representing the harvest season continuing with greens and red bows adorning the poles for the holiday season. With your help, we can make Manhasset more attractive and inviting for residents and visitors to shop locally and support downtown businesses.

the local papers, on Shop Manhasset, and on the
Chamber’s website.

Besides advertising the name of your business or professional office,
other ideas for tributes include but are not limted to: purchasing one
in name of your family, in memory of a loved one, etc.

The annual Adopt-A-Hanging Floral Baskets and Adopt-A-Floral Planter campaign is in full swing. The lovely hanging baskets will be placed on light poles in early May. The beautification of Manhasset is something that makes our town look special.
Last year, the Chamber purchased Boxwood Green Mountain Evergreens, which remain all year, supplemented by seasonal or holiday theme decorations for the planters which enhance the beauty of Plandome Road. In the spring, cascading annuals will be planted in the planters, and in the winter, a holiday planter arrangement will be arranged.
The plants are paid for by donations received from a variety of businesses, residents and organizations. The chamber is working with the Town of North Hempstead and has secured the watering of these beautiful plants to flourish throughout the summer, by the Town.
The Chamber is looking for additional sponsorship of these planters to ensure that beautification continues.

The Manhasset Chamber is working hard to make Manhasset a wonderful place to reside and we urge residents to get involved in the community, shop local and consider becoming a part of the chamber through a beautification membership.
